Plantation Point Nursery is located on historic Caddo Lake in Caddo Parish in the northwest corner of Louisiana. We are approximately 16 miles north of Shreveport, Louisiana and are in zone 8a.

Plantation Point Nursery began in 2000. We purchased all of the Louisiana irises from the former Lone Star Nursery in Garland, Texas, when that nursery went out of business. We started with approximately 6000 plants, and about 250 varieties. We have added more varieties, and now grow about 400 varieties of Louisiana irises. We now have between 50 and 60 thousand plants.

Several years ago we started growing daylilies. We began with 150 varieties a few years ago. We have added varieties and now have about 300 varieties of daylilies. We are very careful when bringing new daylily varieties into the nursery and have so far avoided the problems associated with rust.
